Flexible, mobile, individual: The new workplace

More and more business companies give thought to the workplace of the future.

How will it look like and which modifications will be made? Particularly mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets boost flexibility in our daily working routine and seem to magically transfer our desks into the briefcase. Mobile technologies like cloud computing and the correspondent virtualization play a major role in the creation of future working methods. Fixed 9-to-5 working hours, permanent writing desk areas and centralized corporate structures are gradually becoming a thing of the past – for, in many places, the future has started already! People need and claim – in both their personal and their business lives – a high degree of flexibility and mobility. Enterprises increasingly rely on collaboration and communication tools which require a defined organization of human resources and the setup of the relevant infrastructure.

Mere vision or a future reality within reach?

The eco (Association of the German Internet Industry) group of experts Mobile and group of experts Unified Communications get together on December 7th at the Plantronics branch office in Rheinauhafen (Cologne) inviting you to a day of controversial discussions and short lectures that will deliver a considerable insight into above-mentioned topics.

The contributors

In cooperation with the contributors Dr. Sandra Sülzenbrück (Leibniz-Institute for Labor Studies at the TU Dortmund), Uwe Remy (Operations Sales Leader Small & Medium Enterprise Communications, Avaya GmbH & Co. KG), Armin Kuhn (Inside Sales Manager DACH, Plantronics GmbH) and Dr. Ralf W. Schadowski (managing partner, ADDAG GmbH & Co. KG) you can exchange experience and discuss visions. Mobile communcation offers numerous benefits. However, it undoubtedly goes hand in hand with obstacles that need to be argued and overcome.

The event will be directed by Dr. Bettina Horster (senior executive of group of experts Mobile) and Detlev Artelt (senior executive of group of experts Unified Communications).
